The Lovely Journey

Check out the The Carnival of Homeschooling, Celebrate the Journey at Principled Discovery.  It is a lovely piece.
Dana and her family are bird watchers and take note of the fascinating migratory path of our birds.  I’ve enjoyed reading her observations of what their feathered neighbors are up to in Nebraska.  And the sandhill cranes are a big item on the Platte River.
We get updates via email about whooping cranes and other bird migrations and spring goings on with our wildlife from the fantastic Journey North site.  The kids can report their own sightings on the site.

It’s part of our homeschooling journey that we enjoy.

"U Crane" by Greg Holden is part of the Cranes on Parade exhibit at the Museum of Nebraska Art and Rowe Sanctuary, coming up March 30-31, 2007
