SB 541 and Senator Raoul’s previous bill and the current bipartisan trends towards womb to walker oversights are posted on HEM News and Commentary in more depth.
I don’t see much point in contacting Senator Raoul’s office. He’s heard the discontent with this same type of bill before and he’s disregarded it before. Contacting the Rules Committee might be more useful.
Senator Halvorson is the chair of the Rules Committee and has also introduced SB 10. SB 10 is the HPV vaccine mandate for a female student who is 11 or 12 years of age [who] may not enter any grade of a public, private, or parochial school unless the child presents to the school proof of having received a human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination or, after having received HPV information required to be provided by the Department of Public Health, the student’s parent or legal guardian presents to the school a signed statement that the parent or legal guardian has elected for the student not to receive the vaccination.
Head spinning yet? Mine is. I hope opponents of SB 10 have kept it polite and respectful in their arguments to their representatives against these mandates.
