Discovering New Blogs from 41st Carnival
Posted by Susan under Life at Home , Good Things about HomeschoolingOne of the blogs that I discovered this week was Homeschool Hacks and the scrapbooking post. Part of Homeschool Hacks mission is this: ” When it comes to educating our children, we could all use some lifehacks. And so, Homeschool Hacks was born.
Agreed and one of my favorite resource centrals for homeschool hacking is the Home Education Guide to Homeschool Resources. The last newsletter had an interview with Eve Pranis of the Journey North. (My kids always remind me it’s now Journey South during the fall season.) The interactive migration sightings along with the symbolic Monarch send off is nothing but Great Science. (And reading and writing and ‘rithmetic depending on how the families choose to use the site). And they LOVE homeschoolers! Journey North….South is one of the reasons why we have found NO good reason to open up a science textbook. Counting 65 Monarchs on our bike ride through the golden rod meadow.
Check out HEM’s newsletters as the magazine has championed finding practical, cheap and wonderful resources along with informative, in depth news for homeschoolers.
And make sure you read through the 41st Carnival of Homeschooling! It’s always fascinating reading how each family lives and learns along with the news in the homeschooling world.
